The Paediatric Injectable Medicines Handbook website and App (the PIMH) contains information and data, prepared by The Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network (SCHN) under the auspices of the NSW Ministry of Health for and on behalf of the Crown in right of the State of New South Wales.

The information and advice published or made available through documents, publications, brochures or similar means including hard or soft copies of the PIMH, is provided as general information and is not intended to constitute a doctor-patient relationship.

The information contained in the PIMH is provided for informational and clinical support purposes only and is not a substitute for clinical advice. You should not use the information in the PIMH for diagnosis or treatment of a medical or suspected medical or health condition.

The PIMH is made available on the understanding that the SCHN and its officers, employees, contractors and agents shall have no liability (including liability by reason of negligence) to Permitted Users. This includes any loss, damage, cost or expense incurred or arising from a Permitted User using or relying on the PIMH, whether caused by reason of any error, negligent act, omission or misrepresentation in the information or otherwise.

The NSW Department of Health expressly disclaims any and all liability to any person in respect of anything and in respect of the consequences of anything done or omitted to be done, by any person in reliance in part, or in whole of the contents of the PIMH.

Accuracy of information

The information contained in the PIMH has been presented with all due care. The State of New South Wales makes no representations with respect to any information offered or provided in the PIMH regarding the treatment, action, or application of any of the information provided upon any child and does not warrant the PIMH is free from errors or omissions.

While the information is considered to be true and correct at the date of publication, changes in circumstances after publication may impact on the accuracy of the information.

The PIMH may change without notice, and the SCHN is not in any way liable for the accuracy of any information printed and stored or in any way interpreted and used by a Permitted User.

The SCHN does not represent or warrant that the PIMH website or App is free from defects or computer software viruses. The SCHN strongly recommends that Permitted Users install appropriate anti-virus software prior to accessing the PIMH.

Definitions

‘Approved Purpose’ means the purpose of providing guidance for health professionals in Australia in the preparation and effective administration of injectable medications in paediatric patients, and related research, education and training.

‘Permitted User’ means employee, officer, contractor, agent or student who is authorised by New South Wales Health to access the PIMH or, is authorised by SCHN as a Subscriber, to have access to the PIMH.
